So this is what I purchased from the Library of Congress shop: a WPA print to hang in my newest niece’s room. (And I confess I ordered two of them so I can hang one in my writing studio—as soon as I settle into a more permanent one again!) The text reads: “Little Miss Muffet / sat on a tuffet / reading a picture book / there came a spider / and sat down beside her / and said ‘May I have a look?'”
It was a tough choice between this and the “Disgusted with Life, She Retired to the Society of Books” print—but as Miss Muffet was in color, it seemed better for a child’s room.
