Those of you who have read the first book in my History Lives series, Peril and Peace, may recall a brief mention of the ancient Christian document known as the Didache. Well, today’s edition of the Toledo Blade included an article about a lecture my historian husband gave earlier this week on that document and the long tradition of spiritual training to which it gave rise, eventually leading to the development of universities during the Middle Ages.
