Winter Reading Challenge

stackbutton.jpgI’ve decided to join the From the Stacks Winter Reading Challenge over at Overdue Books. The idea is to read, between Nov. 1 and Jan. 30, five books already on your bookcase that you’ve “been meaning to read.” Initially I thought it wiser to resist, since I’ll be moving cross-country during that period and have less reading time than usual–but then I realized that several of the books languishing in the To Read pile are borrowed from friends and need to be returned before I move anyway. So, my list is:

Marley & Me — John Grogan
Personal History — Katharine Graham (Diana claims it’s one of the great autobiographies)
A Separate Peace — John Knowles (recommended by several readers of this blog)
The Serpent on the Crown — Elizabeth Peters (I’m behind with the Amelia Peabody series)
The Most of P. G. Wodehouse — P. G. Wodehouse

Reviews forthcoming (once posted, they’ll be available in my reviews a-z section).

Anybody else want to take the challenge?
