Despite the first stirrings of real spring in our region, the past week has been a fairly dark one. My husband’s grandma died; a family member announced a broken relationship; a basement flood destroyed some of our stored books and photos. These are the times I wish I could hit the pause button on a writing deadline and free myself up to be available to people without having to scramble later, but of course it doesn’t work that way. Thus the reason my blog has been silent all week.
The good news is that we did get to see the sun for a few days (though it’s back in hiding temporarily); a dear friend has finally extricated himself from an oppressive work situation (congrats, Dan!); The Office and Scrubs have returned to prime time; and we’re off to the Festival of Faith and Writing next week! I owe you a lot of reviews and promise to get to them, though my posts here are probably going to be intermittent over the next month while I play catch up. But I’m still planning to liveblog the Festival next week for those of you who haven’t given up on me, so stay tuned.
