Honored to be a “Thinking Blogger”

Thinking Blogger AwardA humble thank you to Janie at Seasonal Soundings for passing on the “Thinking Blogger Award” to MindyWithrow.com. Some weeks I do more blog writing, and some weeks I do more blog reading; that give and take is what I love about participating in the litblog community. So many clever and creative people out there to learn from!

Due to my (frustrated) attempts at becoming more disciplined about the writing life, I’ve spent less time browsing online lately. But I do read every post of the following blogs, so in the spirit of the award, I pass the torch to these “Thinking Bloggers”:

I have a question is the blog of my favorite Brit, Ros (pronounce it “Rose” and you’ll receive one of her famous glares). Extremely thoughtful biblical criticism, lots of great poetry, and if you leave her a comment, she might knit you a comfy scarf!

Kate’s book blog is my window into the Canadian literary world. Her comments, and the quoted bits from her reading, are always insightful. I’m looking forward to reading her new short story collection!

DigitalBrandon, besides being my husband in real life, is also THE source for all my historical, scientific, and technological news. His hit-and-run updates regularly scoop the major media outlets, and posts like “Walking in someone else’s shoes” and “On being a church historian in context” are, I think, valuable and perceptive contributions to the mind of the American church.

Finally, Bridget Jones goes to seminary is passionate, edgy, and often pushes buttons I thought I had already discarded. I appreciate the way she embraces Christ without getting tangled in the cultural strings that tie others down.

Thanks, Thinking Bloggers, for helping to keep me sharp!
