This is a “lit-and-run” post. I’ve been too busy to write much lately, but I hate being away from blogging. Â So I’m here just long enough to say:

Are you celebrating National Poetry Month? Â Today is “Poem in Your Pocket” day and I haven’t been able to settle on just ONE poem to carry around!
And fellow Maisie fans, have you read the latest? Â I picked up a signed copy of A Lesson in Secrets (Maisie Dobbs #8) at Nicola’s Books in Ann Arbor, MI, on March 31, where I got to chat briefly with Maisie creator Jacqueline Winspear (captured here by my husband’s phone) after she addressed a crowd of at least 100 people. Â Each new Maisie book strikes me as the best yet, and this one was no exception. Â I sent it off to my sister as soon as I finished it, and after reading it the day it arrived, she declared, “I want to be Maisie Dobbs when I grow up.” Â Me, too.
