Clippings 25: new review blog, new poetry book

A very short round-up for you today, as this is yet another busy week.  But I didn’t want to wait to share these two new links with you.

First, a new book blog.  The Discarded Image (name comes from a book by C.S. Lewis) is a review blog written by an academic with interests in history, religion, philosophy, science, and gender, to name a few.  Though it’s a brand new blog, he’s already introduced “Reviews 140” on Twitter (@DiscardedImage) and a “Friday Reviews: Regarded Images” feature that invites book bloggers to link to their reviews of books that represented a paradigm shift.

Also, Paul Willis, whom I met at the 2008 Festival of Faith and Writing and subsequently reviewed his lovely book Bright Shoots of Everlastingness, has a new book of poetry out!  Rosing from the Dead released in October.  You can read sample poems and a table of contents here.

More posts later in the week…
