I envy her students because her teaching skill shines through loud and clear in her writing, and her sense of humor keeps things interesting. The 'History of the World' is the best book on the ancient world I have ever read and I thank her. Susan has replaced Gore Vidal as my favorite author and I am looking forward to reading her other writings and future efforts.
